Idearc Media Expands Los Angeles Verizon Yellow Pages Coverage to Include Inglewood and Morningside Park.

More Than One Million Los Angeles County Directories Distributed; Idearc Media Reaches Hispanic Populations With a Bilingual Directory

LOS ANGELES -- Idearc Media Corp., publisher of the Verizon[R] Yellow Pages and home to Superpages.com[R], has expanded its directory coverage area. The new Airport Metro directory now includes Inglewood and Morningside Park.

The new Metro books are among six editions of the Verizon Yellow Pages currently being distributed to more than 1.2 million area businesses and residents.1 The directories include editions for Greater Los Angeles, Beverly Hills, Malibu, Marina Del Rey-Venice, Santa Monica and West Los Angeles Verizon Yellow Pages. A bilingual, flipped directory, the Greater Los Angeles/Nuestra Guia Verizon Yellow Pages, is being delivered to areas with a Hispanic population of 45 percent or more.

"The bilingual directory for these highly populated Hispanic areas gives our advertisers a more targeted way to reach Spanish-speaking families in Greater Los Angeles," said Meredith Mercer, general sales manager for Idearc Media. "Also, by expanding our coverage in select areas such as Inglewood and Morningside Park, we give consumers more information about the goods and services available where they shop and businesses can reach a larger base of potential customers."

The expansion into Inglewood and Morningside Park more than doubled the Airport Metro Verizon Yellow Pages distribution and added almost 4,000 new business listings.

A local cover differentiates each of the eight directories: look for the Santa Monica Pier Ferris Wheel, the Marina Del Ray Harbor, the Los Angeles Dodgers, a Malibu beach front and the LAX Gateway Pylons on the covers of the new directories.

Santa Monica, West Los Angeles and Beverly Hills, residents can find the best area restaurants in their Verizon Yellow Pages with the Dining Your Way! Guide featuring an A-Z index, menus and maps.

Residents in Santa Monica and West Los Angeles will also receive a Verizon[R] Yellow Pages Companion Directory, a compact-sized directory for easy reference while on the go.

People who prefer to use the Internet can use Superpages.com (www.superpages.com), the expert in local search, to find local and national businesses and to compare goods and services when they are ready to buy. With more than 2.8 billion network searches in 2006, Superpages.com includes listings for more than 18 million small-to-medium-sized businesses in the United States, 11 million of which feature enhanced content.

Superpages.com recently enhanced the user and search experience with a new, sleek and simplified look and more relevant, locally focused search results. An improved mapping capability provides a bird's eye view of the locations searched.

In 2006, Los Angeles ranked as the sixth top searched city with nearly nine million searches conducted on Superpages.com. California was the top ranked state with over 122 million searches.
